Video Sites: Teenagers Grope Private Parts on YouTube

A new game that involves slapping and groping each other’s private parts is sweeping the nation’s middle schools.  Young children and teenagers call this game “scooping” and are posting disturbing videos of the trend on video websites like YouTube.

Earlier this month, a male 6th grader in California was accused of “scooping” a female fellow student.

Children and teens are often afraid to report the incident, for fear of retaliation or an increase in bullying.  Many people believe “scooping” should be considered sexual assault, but both school districts and parents are slow to react, wrongly assuming that “scooping” is just a simple teenage prank.
