Sexting: Few Parents Care About Dangers

The latest trend involving the exchange of  sexually charged photos and text messages among teenagers has become a growing concern by school districts nationwide. School Officials in Allegany County, Maryland organized a meeting this month to brief parents about the dangers of "sexting," but only a small group attended.

According to an MTV/Associated Press poll, 12% of young people who have sexted have thought about suicide, a staggering number four times higher than those who haven’t.

Sexting is a crime on the rise, with a growing number of high-profile cases popping up across the country.
