Pennsylvania Reexamines Sexting Laws Among Teens

Pennsylvania sextingPennsylvania’s House Judiciary Committee passed a bill this week that would classify teen sexting as a misdemeanor of the second degree.  Lead by Rep. Seth Grove, House Bill 2189 addresses minors ages 13 through 17 caught sexting via electronic communication of some kind.  At the moment, teens caught sexting could face felony child pornography charges and are required to register as sex offenders.  The modified bill is expected to come before the full House next month.
